About the Women in Business Awards
The Women in Business Awards (WIBA) celebrate the accomplishments of women in the Niagara business community. Hosted by the GNCC in partnership with Women in Niagara (WIN), the event recognizes women who demonstrate excellence, vision, and social impact.
The 2025 edition highlights leaders who are shaping Niagara’s business landscape. In addition, it encourages more women to take leadership roles in business, non-profit, and public sectors.
What the Equity Entrepreneur Award Represents
The Equity Entrepreneur Award honors exceptional women entrepreneurs from equity-deserving communities. This includes racialized women, Indigenous women, new Canadians, women entrepreneurs with disabilities, and 2SLGBTQ+ entrepreneurs.
Moreover, the award recognizes not only business success but also the innovation, inclusion, and social impact these leaders bring to their communities. Nominees must have owned their business for at least one year.
